About 3 miles from my house. DS using kit lens. Held the camera against a tree using the slow shutter speed

The way the woods are it reminded me of the area where Boramir was killed in Lord of the Rings.

Nice job handheld DMJJR. Were you standing up? I wonder what the shot would look like lying down on the bank and getting a better angle on the slope going up on the other side (just thinking at random here). I did not notice until Glenn mentioned it, but it does bear a resemblance to the LOTR location.

It does rather look like the LOTR location! And it actual site is just about on the other side of the earth - amazing how much we all have in common (I sometimes forget that when I look at all those fascinating, colorful birds from "down under"). Very nice shot.
