I've done two crops on this shot.

#1 is cropped in the same aspect ratio in which the shot was taken

#2 is cropped for an 8 x 10 aspect ratio.

There is a slight variation is color caused by I don't know why.

Please tell me which of these you find more appealing and please comment on the composition & etc.

#1

#2

TIA,

Ed

I like the picture. They are both about the same to me as far as composition - perhaps others will have a preference. The color differencemight be caused byjpg filecompression - if you took the picture in jpg, then cropped the first one and did a save-as, then used the second copy for the re-crop of the 8x10 aspect one, there's extra compression.

Thanks all,

I appreciate the comments and suggestions.

I did make one minor change to both crops. I cloned out the piece of a Pumpkin in the lower right hand corner. Makes it look a bit better, I think.

Eddy, I like the composition, but because of the lighting it seems a bit flat. I added some contrast to see if it made any difference. Here it is. It may have washed out the whites too much. See what you think.

I bumped up the Contrast while playing with the PP. Unfortunately, it seems to wipe out the detail in the Mums and in the Pumpkins.

I do agree though, increasing the contrast does make it jump out at you a bit more..
