Here are a few shots taken with my new (old) manual Tamron 90mm macro and 2X tele converter.

I think I'm going to like this lens...:bye:

Wow flowers, we won't see any of those for about six more months. Great shots, don't you just love that lens?

Hi GW,
Excellent shots, #1 is outstanding. Superb old lens ... I've used mine with the 2X TC and the accessory Ext tube ... IMO the latter gives better 1:1 shots, not much in it, more a gut feeling about results. ... Jack

PS. Bees are long gone in this neck of the woods.

Thank you gentlemen,
I'm glad you liked them. I went out in the back yard as soon as I got home from work and must have stayed out there for at least 2 hours. I finally went and got a lawn chair to sit on! :G
I'm anxious to see what this lens can do mounted on a tripod, I have a difficult time holding steady enough for the really sharp pictures I'd like to get.:?
Jelpee, I was about 3 feet away on most of these.
Tom, that's one of the things I love about Florida!
Jack, yep, I'm going to see what I can do with the extension tube next…
We still have butterflies and a few dragonflies too! Most won't hold still long enough for me to focus on though.

roy
to B or not to B?? there's the rub..

Hey Roy,
well... that's the sad part, without the "A" setting, I'm not sure what ap any of these are taken at. I took over 600 shots the last couple days. I was trying several different settings. they ranged all the way from f:2.5 to f:32 but if I'm not mistaken most were between 5.6 & 11. my dream is to get a brand new

Very nice GW, I think this lens is already serving you better than the 50mm/TC combo. I take it the adaptall adapter ended up not being a KA version? My suggestion is to try playing between f/11 and f/16 using your flash as a starting point. #1 and #4 are the best of this series in my opinion, I think you are going to have a ton of fun with that lens.

you might want to keep the tokina in mind also. it's actually the highest ranking at photodo.. of course when you get to this level all of them are excellent..

stay focused,
