I decided to take the dust off of my DS and shoot with my 50mm 1.7. I shot in jpeg, cropped, put a drop shadow frame and sharpened to post. I did not do any other PP to these pictures. This lens reproduces colors very nicely and accurately, IMHO.

Thanks for looking,

Tom

In the cities they did Halloween Trick or Treat last Saturday afternoon (have to be PC you know) but here we still do it on the 31st and (get ready for this) after dark! But then we all know each other in town and even strangers in town don't bother the kids because they know we all have guns and know how to use them!

Love the shot of the grave stones.

Really like the compostion and lighting on #2. Conveys a cozy & homey feeling of Autumn!

Both are lovely shots! Thanks for pointing out the lens, gotta get out with my M50 1.7 soon. It's a fun lens and I haven't used it in a very long time.

Interesting about Holloween traditions. Around here it is always the 31st. Traffic is horrible that night since everyone leaves early/at the same timeto get home. I'm going to take the day off so I don't have to deal with it (and get a 3 day weekend out of it).

A50/1.7 fan here!

That lens was the first which gave me the "wow" effect I was hoping for with my DL2 and I'll never sell it! I hope I'll have the chance to really use it to it's full potential - we are planning to go to the circus - that'll be a challenge.

Happy snapping and thanks for sharing,
Th.
