Hey,
I was toying around with a M 50/1.4 lens and was able to capture these two imagesof my cat. Too good to throw away if you ask me - so I thought I share. B&W conversion right from the RAW converter, resized and sharpened for forum use, no cropping. Have fun!

Th.

Lovely! The b&w conversion is wonderful - enhances the shots, which are beautifully sharp. Well done!

Very, very nice, thkn777.

I've been itching to get out with my camera all week. Brought it back and forth to work with me every day, but never managed to find time to use it. Maybe this weekend.

Thank you for the kind, encouraging words! :-)

Not really f/1.4, but still a nice image to my mind is the following, which I captured today. M-85/2 lens used, wide-open, ISO1600. Stopped down -1, corrected that later in RAW-converter. B&W again in RAW-converter, as well as noise removal. Very minor histogram correction and forum resize/sharpen the only postprocessing.

Image is otherwise straight from the camera, no cropping. I do get quite some blurred/bad shots, but that one is a keeper to my mind.

Regards,
Th.

Your cat is daring you to change the channels! And yes, another very nice picture!

Great composition! So sharp! Lovely Eye!

Now you got me digging for my A 50mm 1.7 to go playing with. <grin>

Take care,
Glen

Thanks !

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"I throw away so many shots because my cat just moves in the very moment I press the shutter (it has natural talent for this I guess, grrr), it's just not fair. On the other hand full manual lenses are always a problem on moving objects.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"I'll keep trying

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"Hm, yes - the A50/1.7 is one of my all-time favourites, too. Good luck / happy snapping to you!

Wonderful shots.
