I know I'm not the first to do this kind of testing but, I found the results interesting and thought I'd share. click on each image to compare full size photos.

first is a diagram of setup for the test.


shot at f:32 f:11 f:5.6 f:2.5

I was really impressed how shallow the DOF is even at f:32 !
note the ruler is marked mm on the left and 32" on the right. the focal point is at the 89mm mark on all the images.

Hey Dawg,
This is as close as I can get with the 90mm. it was aprox one foot. I took some with an old 2X TC I took the glass out of and I'll post them tomorrow. I'm also going to shot some with the Vivitar 2X macro converter that will turn the 90mm into a 1:1 macro.
I'll try to post those tomorrow also.
