I think everyone was intimidated not so much by the topic (well, that's intimidating too) but by the quality of the first few pictures. They were all awesome!

I love Daz's globe - just LOVE the color! Jelpee's motion picture is really unique, never thought of using multiple flashes to capture motion like that. Penolta gets an honorable mention for humor (a flash in the pan indeed!) but my vote goes to Glen's witch.

my favourites:
- Jelpee and his Newton cradle
- the helloween witch (tacticdesigns)

The witch wins. /clap

(sorry Jelpee, you can't beat the cuteness factor with your entry)

Entries are always strong in this challenge, but I think the bar went up several steps this month with a really diverse group of offerings, all of which were outstanding. I have to join the chorus in praising the little witch by giving it my vote.

My vote goes to Ronny's dragonflies, even though I was also bewitched by Glen's shot and DAZ globe.

I like Daz's glass globe but I'm hopping on the little witch bandwagon. It is such a beautiful picture. Good work, Glen!

Hello Everyone,

I really appreciate the votes so far.

I've been looking over all the images and I'm finding it really hard to decide. As mentioned above, there is such a range in the use of flash in this collection! And they are all really good images!

In the end, my vote goes to Mtngal's pict. It's just a really good example of using flash to make a great image greater without letting the flash overpower it.

My runner up would be rhermans. Capturing dragonflies in mid flight is hard. Getting that much detail is impossible! My hats off to you for doing the impossible.

Take care,
Glen

Hi,
all great pictures,
but tough race between jelpees Newton's cradle, glen's girl, glenn's ghost fish and the heli squad from Ronny.

My vote goes to Glen's girl.
bye alex

Glen's Halloween spooktacular is the most memorable, but I think for technical excellence I will go with Daz' laser show.
