I had only a few minutes notice of a short visit to this Museum - I was told everything was outdoors and I wouldn't need a flash, so I grabbed the K20D and DA16-45 and ran. Of course the good stuff was all inside poorly lit car barns, so I tried ASA 1600 (the slowest I could get by with) on the interior shots and was pleasantly surprised - the results might be better than flash, because the illumination was more even, without fall off with distance. Then I tried some outdoor shots at different speeds for noise comparison - again I was pleasantly surprised. All shots are direct from the camera with no pp (except for the two mail car shots which were through glass and had to be sharpened), reduced to posting size, and all but the first two slightly rotated and cropped to straighten verticals. 9 images - EXIF attached.

The first two are 19th Century narrow guage steam engines, restored and in running condition.

Very nice! It looks like a fun museum to visit with a camera, and your 16-45 did quite well.
