Going throughthe pictures from my last trip to SA I found these, where I have successfully elevated the artistic level by including a cow. Right, Tim?

First one, view over First Beach, Mzimvubu river mouth with Port St John's, and Cape Hermes Lighthouse as seen from Noqhekwana village north of town.

Cool images! I never associated cows with the beach, but rather with farm land settings! I was reading your other postings about your visit to SA--sounds like an interesting activity and a great opportunity to do some geographic and cultural expoloration.

Cows on the beach! What a strange idea. Not the place I'd ever expect to find them.

Patty

p.s. I love that first image. Beautiful.

That first picture (minus the cow) could have been taken in California. I have a very similar picture that I took a number of years ago (pre-Pentax) at Point Reyes National Seashore, near the parking lot for the lighthouse. It's located just north of San Francisco.

:lol::lol::lol:

Hi Kjell,
I remember that thread well, those are great! Yes, it is the cows that take those photos from the realm of a good picture into true art! I am just back from vacation myself but I am dismayed as I realize I have no photos involving cows. Oh well, now I have a reason to go on another vacation!

Thanks for the comments!

The cow idea doesn't seem to make it in the majormagazines' reviews, but I guess that's because genius like Tim and I are always ahead of our time:?.
