Finally got time to go out and take some photos, went down to the lake and noticed that winter is here to stay for at least 4 months.

K10D, FA 28-105 @ 105-nice walk around lens!

Hi Tom,

Down south here :-), The lakes are pretty much skinned over, but no snow yet (knocking on wood). We didn't get the fall colors that I'd expected -- the leaves just seemed to turn brown and fall off all at the same time so it seemed like fall didn't really happen.

Oh well. . . looking forward to next spring. . .:-)

Can't say I really miss it, we have had a week of low temperatures but no snow yet. I prefer to see beautiful pictures like your's with harsh winter elsewhere.

Love the shot - I wish I were there. At least its cooled down here. We finally got some rain before Thanksgiving - hopefully we'll see some snow soon, too.

Okay, that's cold looking. We've had the temps here, but no snow my part of the state yet.

Nice photo.

Thanks, I guess I will just do the best I can until Spring comes around again since I can't afford to live in California.

About the FA 28-105, there are three versions and the one I like the best is the black Powerzoom version since I have found it is sharper than the other two. I loved it when I was shooting film and it works great on my DS and K10D even though it is on f/4-5.6.
