Wonderful shot, Penolta! It works well in b&w.

Thought I would stick to a simple graphic composition. DS FA 28-70mm f4.

I've been having fun all day converting some pictures to black and white, using a number of different methods in Lightroom and Photoshop. I've also been exploring some different color modes and just playing around with post processing in general. I'll start a new thread about how you can influence the final product, but thought I'd post this one for the challenge. I may change my mind later, if I take a better picture.

This was taken right before Thanksgiving. I converted it today and I'm not entirely sure I remember the steps that went into the final product.

Last month's challenge took some time to get rolling. This month has started off with a blast! Already some very nice images! I'm looking forward to trying something interesting, but as of yet have no idea what it is! As Arnold said, "I'll be back."

Wow! I am being completely blown away with the entries so far. I haven't even got my head around what I want to shoot yet. <smile>

Take care,
Glen

Now I see why all the discussion of b&w. Some nice images so far. This is going to be another tough month.

Will have to start thinking what to do. I never did enter last month. Just too much going on this time of year for me.

As usual, entries so far this month are daunting, but I'm going to put a portrait into the mix, at least for now. I'm hoping to get something better this weekend.

Hm,
this isn't easy - just converting an image to b&w, take a shot of something b&w... lot's of possibilities!

I played around with my "Christmas concert" photo and was trying some filters, just exploring my gfx program a bit. Things went normal for a while, but then all of a sudden it looked... different. Must have something to do with the color spaces I switched back and forth, an artificial created HDR is involved and because I always wanted to try it, I threw in some color reduction to plain b/w (as in2 colors per pixel).

I mixed and shaked everything, it's not perfect but a very interesting effect (to my opinion ) - something like a mixture between a newspaper print and a sketch/draft painting. It also reminds me a bit of M.C. Escher in some aspects.

I might change my mind later, but that's my entry fo this challenge so far.

Regards,
Th.

Hello Everyone,

Here's my 1st attempt.

NOTE: I told my daughter that this month's theme is Black& White and she got all excited because she has a really nice black dress. So . . . I may be replacing this entry with whatever we might come up with this weekend. <grin>

Take care,
Glen
