Hello Everyone,

Thank you for the votes. I really appreciate it. And thanks to beachboy2 for choosing a challenge that everyone seemed to enjoy!

This month's challenge is going to be: Black & White [, but open to interpretation.]

Although this could be a picture you take in B&W, or a colour picture you convert to B&W (with whatever Post Processing you want to.), it could just as easily be a colour image that just somehow relates back to the theme Black & White, which I want to leave open to your interpretation. So please, interpret Black & White in whatever way you want and have fun with it! <grin>

As usual: "Pictures are to be sized 800 pixels on their longest side, be taken with a Pentax or Samsung dSLR, and be taken within the last 90 days."

I have no image to start this off, since I haven't really attacked this topic myself, so instead, I will offer this link to the post where I was asking for help on how to think about B&W just for reference for anyone who wants it. [ http://forums.steves-digicams.com/fo...mp;forum_id=80]

I hope everyone has fun with this topic!

Take care, yours truly,
Glen

B&W isn't something I feel comfortable with but I'll try anyway.

K20d + Sigma10-20mm at 20mm, f8, iso100, 1/4000sec

It's a shot from 20thSept, so at this point I'm still within the 90day limit

Cool topic! I'm not the best at b&w but I really love it. In fact, I've been feeling rather frustrated with everything I've been taking recently, so concentrating on subjects that will make good b&w pictures will be fun. I may have more fun just watching what everyone else posts, as the first two posts are wonderful.

I'll give it a whirl, I've little experience of B&W, except for point and press stuff in pre colour days. ... Jack

Edit. ... on second thoughts this won't qualify, can't remember exactly when, but I'm guessing it was shot in midsummer.
