The closer crop works best IMO. Very nice and sharp image.

Thankyou all for your kind comments. I may owe everyone an apology. I'm not sure if I was using the Bigma @ 500mm but with the Sigma 1.4 TC? If so the shots were done at 700mm. There was lots of bright afternoon sunlight. Unfortunately there is no reported indication if (Sigma) TC was used in the EXIF data.

i know what you mean by still processing shots from October
i am doing the same, and taking more photos in the mean time, just to jam up the works more lol

thats one nice looking osprey, you did well on your trip up north
that bigma is sure a tempting lens
