I haven't been out shooting the last couple of evenings because I've been busy converting to digital several boxes of slides I found stuck back in a closet I had forgotten. I picked up a slide converter from ebay and discovered a few treasures that I had thought were long lost.

I'll ask the forum members' indulgence on this one. I didn't take it, although I can't, in good conscience say I had nothing to do with it, and it's not taken with a Pentax DSLR. It was taken with an old Tower (Sears proprietary brand) fixed focal length 35mm on Ektachrome slide film.

Since the same camera became my first "serious" camera when I was about 12, I know what had to be involved in getting this shot. My mom had to get the camera completely out of its case since the flash wouldn't mount otherwise, attach a bulky flash bracket, insert a huge flash bulb, and connect to the flash trigger, all while hoping that the Ritz cracker thief wouldn't catch on that he was being caught. All things considered, a pretty remarkable candid capture for 1957.

Paul

BTW, the ugly green cabinets are not a white balance flaw. They were actually that color. This WAS the 50's.
