A little misty but not too bad. I used the k10D with the Sigma 50-500 and the Sigma 1.4 TC.

"Not to bad" is a good way to describe that shot! What kinda tripod are you using for the Big Ma?

i was also out shooting the moon lol

i used the pentax da 55-300 on a manfrotto tripod, then i zoomed, cropped, converted to B&W and sharpened

its interesting to see the slightly different views we got from our very distant locations

I also gave it a shot last night. I was battling the clouds. This was also with the pentax 55-300. First day with it.

Bogen-Manfroto 3011 with a Pan-Tilt head purchased on Ebay for less than 70 dollars US. I was in a hurry so I just mounted the camera to the tripod as the quick release pad was already attached. Got quite a bit of movement with that much weight out front. With the tripod mount on the Bigma there is much less movement.

Quite good there. Did you try adjusting the levels a little? could brighten this one up a little.

My moon shots are usually not very good, and yesterday morning was no exception. But I did take this one - while it's not much for the moon, I thought the clouds were neat.

I actually like that type better Harriet. The colors are outstanding.
