Oooh - very nice! The picture is excellent by itself, but adding the lettering and drop shadow adds a very nice touch. I like the lettering and the shadow separation - gives a totally different effect than what I've usually seen. Cool!

Hand held!?? Do you know a guy named Charlie Atlas?

Very nice card, I agree 100% with what Harriet says.

Happy New Year to you, too. Lovely image. And, I'm with Harriet. I love how you did the lettering. Looks great.

Thanks, you just have to love Photoshop, work on it large and then shrink it down for web presentation.

Did you do the text as a smart object? I'm just starting to find out about smart objects and haven't got a handle on it at all.

No I just did the text as a layer, used warp text and the flag opeion, then opened a second layer using different colors for each. I then moved the top layer so the bottom one just showed on the right and bottom making it look a bit 3D. I then went to layer styles and used drop shadow below the bottom text layer, adjusted it the way I wanted it to look and that was it.

Flatten the image, change the size and there you go, quick and simple.

Thanks for the explanation - that's about how I would have done it, too, if I had thought of doing something like this (hope I remember for next year). Since I don't really understand smart objects yet, I wondered if you had used something magical with them to get it to look so cool, especially since you did the text before resizing.
