As far as transportation.....i dunno never been on a horse.

For when gas goes back up to $5 a gallon, although I have not checked out the price of oats lately.

It's not so much the oats as hay that you have to worry about. I hate to think about how much it costs out here now. I'm sure the days of $2.50 per bale are LONG gone. Love the picture, by the way.The patch over his back looks almost like a small saddle.

Went to one of the islands around here last summer where only bicycles and horses are allowed a vehicles and got a good shot of how bad things would be if that was all we had now. Riding my recumbent was exciting since I was always looking out for horse deposits on the street so I didn't ride through them and the smell was interesting also.

This was a tough photo with the extreme DR and I should have shot two shots, one exposed for the horse and one for the snow.

Another example of where film would have done it in one shot!
