both the light and the detail

hang gliding may get you closer?

Very nice pictures - brown pelicans are fun to photograph. These are good - I usually can't get good in-flight shots. I got a couple of good ones of them on a boat, and one that looked like it was going to get run over by a boat, but once they are in the air, I can't seem to manage anything.
