This is mind blowing, enjoy ... Jack...

2009 Inauguration Photo - SUPER HI-DEF

This is absolutely theBESTin 'high definition'..... Really amazing.

Zoom in ('double-click' an area) ....and watch it focus.
Then zoom some more... and wait for focus.

What a surveillance tool this is. !
This picture was taken with a robotic camera and weighs in at 1,474 megapixel. (295 times the standard 5 megapixel camera)

It was a Canon that pulled together over 200 individual shots.

Each zoom in takes a second to focus ...and thenyou can see some amazing reactions.

Hi Jack,

Really amazing! It's hard to imagine 100 times the resolution of a K20. . . Of course, about 10 years ago, it was pretty hard to imagine 10 times the resolution of the 1.5 MP P&S cameras at the time (and at @1/5 of the price!). I got my first digital camera (a 1.4 MP Oly P&S) in 1999 for over $500 -- and it was pretty much an entry-level class camera. At the time, all DSLRs were all priced in the thousands of dollars, and I believe were about 2 MPs.

On other fora, this post would probably have started a long thread with a lot of folks asking "So where's the Pentax Gigapixel DSLR?" :-)
