Hey, the nails will regrow - fingers wouldn't. Besides, you still have 8 good ones! Hang the typing, the real tragedy is that your shutter finger is incapacitated - now THAT'S a drag!

Very, very sorry to hear of your accident, GW. Rest up and get better. As others have said, you're lucky to still have those fingers. Hope you'll be back to shooting pics real soon.

Hey everybody, Thanks for the comments. you all got me to laughing so much I feel much better!

Yes Harriet, worker's comp, out for two weeks

Dawg, your dang lucky she didn't whop ya up side your head with that cast :G

Gumnut, that's why they make tripods and remote controls!

Simon, I think that's the problem... I wasn't thinking...

Penolta, that's what bothers me the most... the two weeks off I can handle, it's the inability to handle the camera that really gets me.
:X

thanks again for all the sympathy and well wishes, you guys are great!

GW - Look on the bright side, it could have been worse, you could have lost a whole digit.

Seriously - I wish you a speedy recovery.

GW, So sorry to hear of your mishap. That's gotta hurt! I really must find a way to get back on here more often. So much keeps happening lately with me being so busy.

I wish you a quick recovery. (And, thanks for the warning on your photos. I won't be venturing to that one.)

Hey Patty,
Thank you for the well wishes, they're starting to heal and don't hurt nearly as bad now as they did.
