Okay. Now that I read the topic again I think I'm going out on a limb here. Especially since the photo I wanted was just not possible this weekend. Have you ever tried to get a 65 and 33 year old who don't like their photo taken and a 21 month old with a cold to cooperate with being creative.

Anyway, here is my plain repetition shot. A shot of my father-in-law's son.....with his son......with his son. I had wanted them to be side shots in a row.

Patty

Edited to attach the correct photo.

Patty - I like your interpretation of the theme. When I was thinking about the theme, I kept picturing someone doing jumping jacks silhouetted against a pretty sunrise/sunset (can't you tell I was once in the Army?). I'd take that picture, but I'm missing two key ingredients - thepretty sunriseand a victim - er, subject - dumb enough to do jumping jacks while I take pictures...

Thanks, Harriet. I've been thinking about the shot I wanted for two weeks since we knew for sure we were going for a visit. Then, to find out he was sick once we got there. And, my husband and stepson not really getting "into" it. They just don't understand the creative mind. :-) Or, is that messed up mind. I may end up changing it as it's not the most photographic image. Just a snapshot.

My shot for this month. I could have resubmitted last month's or another in that series, but I live for rust.

Grating for drainage at the "new" parking lot at Seattle Center.

Data is in the EXIF.

I think that I'll add this one as my entry for this month. Recent snowfalls that filled my rain gutters, followed by a sudden mild yesterday afternoon, produced these really neat icicles this morning.

The repetition in the icicles combines with the repetition in the Christmas lights that are there in February, and will remain there until the snow on the front lawn melts and allows me to get a ladder out once again.

Seemed like a good choice

Cheers, and enjoy....Brian

Great colours Brian, which lens did you use for this?

I updated my entry again today, it is just a few posts above. Airport landing lights.

These themes get more challenging each month! Here's my entry titled "Repetition with a Repeated Phrase". K20D + DA*16-50mm;Av=f/3.5; Tv=1/60; handheld & shot in RAW and adjusted in PSE5.
