The photo was taken in September, so it doesn't qualify for the challenge, but the edit is new. I picked up this technique in a thread on the Wildlife forum entitled "I didn't expect this."

Very cool edit - I've seen some things like this but haven't looked at how to do it. Too bad it's not recent, it would fit into the category very well.

I've been thinking of all sorts of different ways to interpret the subject. I'm waiting for someone to come up with some of these more "creative" ways of interpreting the word "repetition" (anyone who's spent much time in the military doing P.T. can think of one of them).

Daniel, it's a really easy effect. Bynx posted a link to a tutorial for the effect in the wildlife forum, then in Digital Art. Once you do it two or three times, you can produce an OOB photo in ten minutes or less.

I hope you don't mind. I did one with your photo. This is just a quick and dirty application to show what could be done. You started with much nicer geese than I had, so I'm sure you could come up with a really special shot from the original high-res image.

The link to the tutorial is:

That looks good. Almost like image popping out of the monitor

This is like a simultaneous thread for those who are intimidated by the thread (February challenge on repetition)

Do u think this qualifies except maybe the image creation date?

I'm not sure about qualifying for the challenge, but it is certainly a great shot. I love the determination in the squirrel's face.

Had to post this simple repetition even though it is far from natural. Also far from the fantastic examples that have already been posted here but I am trying to reawaken the photography bug after a busy winter.

My street, my car and my neighbour from across the street.

I passed up using this one because of all of the overhead wires.

And here is a variation from the other direction, no wires but I couldn't get close enough for my 50mm.

I just couldn't make up my mind so here is one more.
