Thanks GW. Just kidding on the TC. The bigma would be too dark with another TC stacked. Probably would work with the Meyer 300f/4 but would be better with a 300 f/2.8.

Hi Dawg,

Very nice work! Very good sharpness and detail, and the backgrounds are very nice. I'm still jealous about the titmice, I've not ever seen one in the wild yet, though I've heard of sightings around here. Getting close plus a lot of reach really makes these shots.

Here's one ya don't have. . .:-) -- but I cheated. . . this American Kestrel was a rescue, shot off a tripod, through @1.5" wire mesh with the K20 FA* 300/2.8 @f2.8, 1/40, ISO 1250, +.3Ev -- sharpened, slightly cropped, and bumped the contrast.

Scott, I just missed one the other morning...He or she flew down and swooped up one of my small visitors at the feeder. Happened so fast it was just a low flying blur...Got a little better look as it flew off with the hapless little goldfinch.
