Took my K20D and brand new 10-17 fisheye to the Valentine's Day pillow fight in San Francisco. Deciding to photograph in the throng of the battle, my camera (and I, needless to say) got quite battered. In addition to getting struck by pillows, the camera also had to endure the very particulate-filled atmosphere, with feathers flying everywhere.

I definitely gave my K20D, 10-17 fisheye, and Metz flash a good durability test that night. I left the event covered in feathers, but was glad that the camera weathered the beating to give me these shots!

These are great! A neat perspective from within. I especially like #4 (feathers flying). Did you use a flash or was it available light?

I need to use y DA 10-17 FE more--you are giving me just cause to do it!

Awesome shots! It's like being there! I can't decide if I prefer #2 or #4 - both capture the feeling of motion and the feel of a pillow fight very well! Thanks for posting them, they are such FUN!

You just can't beat being in the middle of the action with a very wide lens. Great shots.

Awesome shots. I also like #4 as my favorite. In just the last few weeks, I've learned that tehy race cars on frozen lakes in Wisconsin, and they have giant public pillow fights in SF. Makes the area where I live sound rather dull. (But I like it like this!)

I'm guessing that when they were testing the weather sealing on prototypes of the K20, no Pentax engineer thought to make sure it was feather-proof!
