well i finally took the plundge and bought a Samsung 42"HDTV

i hooked up my K20D to it and AGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the pics look terrrrrrrrrible

am i doing something wrong

You should have brought that over to my hose and let me show you how to hook things up.
:G seriously though, I'm not sure how you hooked things up or what settings you are using in the TV menu. double check everything to make sure all is correct. after that, I'm not sure what to tell you Dave, cept go back and read line 1.

Dave, be sure you have the camera and the TV both set to whatever you use over there, PAL or NTSC.

I find using the laptop via the PC connection on a big screen givesthe bestquality. Vastly betterthan from Cds or DVDs. Another big screen has a SD reader built in. Quality of photos shown using that is quite good.

can you say if you have to calibrate the tv to suite the camera
