Here are a couple of shots of some of the fun that Fasching brings out! This was at a battle of the bands in Loerrach. Each group has this outrageous face paint and then an even more outrageous mask they wear during at least one song in their performance.

It was a lot of fun! Glenn

glenn,
I'm from new orleans and have quite a few(sic) memories from mardi gras.. i remember growing up along the parade routes where we set up camp every year.
i always made extra $$ painting faces with water color.. we use to put up about 10-12 people from out of town for the festivities.. the 'after' pictures tell it all.
thanks for the memories !!

Very nice! Love the masks, though I think it would be hard to play an instrument while wearing one. These are really neat.

Roy, Jay, GW and Harriet,
Thanks for the comments. I agree, I think it is hard to play with the masks on! I wish it had been sunny out so those colors would have been even brighter!

Phil, Munich is one of our favorite cities. Museums, history, parks, cathedrals, Octoberfest, it's an incredibly beautiful city!
