Asmy town'snewspaper reporter, I always carry my K10D with Tamron 18-250. Stumbled onto this truck fire just down from my house and was very pleased with the results from my gear. In good light and low, the combination has served me very well. Shot from an overpass in P mode. NO injuries and the firefighters managed to save the cargo.

Very nice capture. Good to hear that there were no injuries. Those rigs are expensive just by themselves so I'm sure it was still a pretty good loss.

One more. The first made the front page the second made the back.

AWESOME shots! I can see why the first one made the front page, I love it. Exposure was excellent - shots like that are hard to get right.

The kudos are to the Pentax. The K10D has never let me down.

National Camera has had a $100 proprietary promotional rebate from Tamron for this lens (still good for another 5 days). They put 2 up on eBay today.
