We had the ceremony yesterday for the contest I had entered a month or so ago. I got a a third place ribbon for a fall fence scene and a first place ribbon for my lonely tree (this one is in the Pentax Gallery). I was surprised, as there were nearly 400 entries in 7 categories and they only displayed the top three in each.

It was a nice way to end a horrible week.

Patty

The lonely tree. Sorry, it was a little crowded to try and get shots.

Hi Patty,

Congrats!!!!!!!!!

How could you almost forget. . .?

Hopefully this will signal a turnaround from your bad week. . .

This had to be VERY satisfying.

I am soooo envious!! I have yet to get a ribbon for any of my submissions to local fairs etc!I need some education on whatcriteria are used by the judges of photo contests.I did donate a framed photographto theCincinnati Fine Arts Fund's silent auction and it sold for $35. Not much, but someone thought it was nice!

Congratulations on the 2 ribbons!

Wow!
Congrats Patty. it's hard to judge from a photo of a photo but, I think I like the 3rd place even better than the 1st place one.:-? They're both great!
