The snow is mostly gone, the fields are soggy and the Grouse is back from his winter hide away.

Must be nice to get a hint of spring and to welcome a friend back. Do you suppose this is the same grouse that you've photographed before? It's still well camouflaged.

Great shot Tom. We have some open areas, but there's still a fair bit of snow. I haven't yet heard the mating call of the grouse, but I expect to hear it within the next few weeks.
