I'd like an explanation, too - and what are all those acronyms? :?
Thanks penolta, the expl. is just posted.

 don't really know, you do need a quicktime plugin installed on your browser.

I checked this post out with Chrome/Firefox/IE/Opera/Safari under windows vista and there it works.

You might check http://www.apple.com/quicktime/technologies/qtvr/ out it's apples home page for the qvtr tech.

Ronny,

Very cool photos....definitely what I call a "nice neighborhood." Thanks for posting the explanation. I am going to have to try this, for sure.

If you look at it on the web it takes up more space, but for some reason posting it here makes it smaller.

Googling "QTvr software" (Quick Time virtual reality) amd "PTgui" (Panorama Tools graphic user interface) brings up a lot of information and alternatives (some free, some not) to QTvr, which it is claimed has not been updated in many years, but which looks by these examples to be just fine. PTgui looks like an exceptionally useful stitching program, not only for panoramas, but it costs a bit,
