Just thought I'd share my small bit of good news: I had one of my pictures accepted into the Pentax Photo Gallery! Who better to share this than all of you who've kept me company on this forum. Here's the link to the image: http://www.pentaxphotogallery.com/ho...mp;language=EN

The image is one I took when my 13 year old daughter and I went on a weekend phot trek to the New River Gorge area of West Virginia in October 2008.

Wow! I can see why it made it. That is beautiful!

I've been working this week on some more to submit. Decided I've got to get over my fear of submitting more and just do it.

Congratulations! Well deserved.

It's an absolutely fantastic picture. Congratulations. The water is stunning. Any time I try to take a photo of moving water with a slow shutter speed, it looks like pudding or glue oozing down a stream bed. But yours is just perfect. What shutter speed did you use?

I agree - perfect picture! Mine always look like a grey blob or pudding, too. This one is as good as it gets. Congrats!

The PPG bar is set pretty high, but this one definitely passes with distinction. Congrats!
