Hi All,

It was in the 30's here and windy, but I went out to the Crab Tree Nature Center to scout things out before we got some MORE snow. . .

It was pretty dark, and they didn't stick around, but I was able to get a couple of acceptable shots. . . These are about 1/4 frame crops and don't really show the iridescent green on the head, but were about as good as I could get.

What a nose!


This one shows how that shnoz widens out in the front


Apparently, these guys are common farther west, but this is a first for me.

Hi GW,

You're right -- I should have captioned #2 "Good Night Mrs. Kalabash -- Wherever you are" :-) -- I guess that makes me not too young. . .:roll:
