Normally I wouldn't bother to post these but, I pulled them out of two very dark photos and was kind of pleased with how they came out.

Hi GW,

PP often saves my butt. . . these did turn out pretty good -- but I think #2 is a Bluejay. . .

You're right Scott,
that was just a test to see if you were paying attention... you passed.

Not only can I not spell tonight, I can't even ID my birds correctly.

Very nice considering the salvage job needing to be done.

No. 1 is defintely a keeper in my book (nice sharp bird with good bokeh on the background). I'd be interested to see what your originals looked like?

What lens did you use on that first pic? Very sharp. Also, I have a few thousand pictures that need saving. :-) Do you have a program with a magic button? My photo editing skills are not moving along fast enough to keep up with the all the pictures.

Well Stevie,
I guess it's pretty close to a magic button... I used DXO Optics Pro 5.3 and CS4 to get these where I wanted them. Its not too hard to learn, I just play with it a lot.

GW

PS. I used the Sigma 70-200mm f:2.8 APO DG lens.

I really like the first one. It's worth posting even if you hadn't gotten it from the darkness!
