That sure has contrast - patriotic colors, too (for more than one country, by the way).

OK - I'll leave it as is, rather than changing it to "signs of the times".

Hi Harriet. Congratulations on your win. I like your photo above as well. Now to find a suitable entry??

Cheers to all

I'll probably try taking a series of shots this month - like a picture of a student working on a laptop in an oldlibrary (books vs. computers?!). Too bad it isn't autumn, one year I took a picture of a student who was advertising/recruiting new students for the snowboard club - she waswearing a brief halter-top. I can think of so many contrasts just in daily life around here.

Okay, here is my second shot at it. I was in Labrador City for the drama festival and here is our stage manager / co-director seen from back stage as he walked through the front lighting set up. I liked it.

I still love that shot - its one of the ones that gave me the idea. Does that mean that this topic is all Ira's fault? No - I'll take complete blame for it.

Nothing to be blamed for, Harriet. I like this topic. Just need to get my brain working on it. I used to coordinate and coach a team for our school's Odyssey of the Mind. I loved it. This reminds me of that.

Okay. I may change if I find something I take specifically for this challenge. But, this is a photo I took out at Plum Island last month that is now my desktop.

I like it because it is such a contrast of our long cold winter. This was the first nice day we'd had in ages and we took advantage of it by heading to the beach. One of my favorite places.

Patty

Edit - Swapping out photo versions. The other one seemed really dark on my laptop.

Very pretty, Patty.

When you mention weather contrast, I think this one would qualify. It will be my entry for this month - I took it this morning (yes, that's snow, fog and blossoming trees).

Definite contrast, Harriet. The joys of spring. Not knowing what the weather will bring next. The day after my photo was taken we had so much snow I had to cancel a doctor's appointment as I'd never be able to get there in time with the slow going.

Are those olive trees?
