No clue if it is contrasting enough?
Took this 3 days ago. Or I may not even make it this month.

I'm going to replace the one I posted earlier with a macro that I originally shot for the Bi-weekly Challenge.....a reflector inside a high-beam headlight

Daniel - not sure that's got that much contrast, the picture (at least on my home monitor) looks just a bit underexposed.

Glen - I really like yours. If you want to get really sharp edges, put the flash closer than you would normally, remove any diffusers and shoot from the side. I always got too harsh/contrasty light until I started to shoot with a coffee filter on the flash. And it helps if the rest of the lighting is low. I'm really good at doing that, especially when I DON'T want that look.

Penolta - I remember when you posted either this shot, or one similar. I liked it then, and I like it now, too. Interesting abstract.

Paul - I really like that, an interesting study in contrasting shapes.

Mtngal - Thanks for the comment.

I had a lot of fun with this challenge!

Quite the range in interpretation on the challenge topic.

Ira - I'm really liking your entry. So much black, yet so much to see.

Penolta - I agree with Mtngal - your shot is really interesting. Nice!

Take care, yours truly,
Glen

Well, it's no longer April anywhere, so it's time to start voting. I'm not going to go first as it always takes me so long to make up my mind.

I've been looking through all the images over the past few days and my favourites were . . .

Ira's portrait on stage
Goldwinger's windmill
Penolta's abstraction

But, since I have to choose one, my pick is going to be . . .

Ira's portrait on stage.

Nice captures everyone!

Take care, yours truly,
Glen

I couldn't come up with a suitable entry for this month's topic; contrast. But, I hope it's OK if I vote.

I kept coming back to jelpee's red, white, and blue "Contrast in Color".From the beginning I was envisioning something with simple, but profound contrastsomy vote goes to jelpee.

Nice job by all who entered.

There are some really good shots this month, but I agree with Jim and am going to vote for Jelpee's colors.

I agree with Jim and Glen and vote for Jelpee's colors. I enjoyed all the entries but I thought this one had the highest level of contrast.
