Last Friday, as I returned home from work, I couldn't get all the way home. On our access road abig truck blocked the way, unloading some huge concrete tubes. No one had announced us, but the drainage ditch association (in this country everything is organized, in this tiny village only we have a minor road association, a village club, a bathing placeassociation... you name it, we got it)had decided to clear the ditch and replace the tubes under our access road in the process. Only that there is no other road to our house! Fortunately they did all the work starting Saturday morning and finishing in the afternoon. Of course a good photo opportunity!

When I got up and out theyhad already started:

And my wife could try it, as we went to town to do some shopping after half a day in splendid isolation.

Thanks for looking,

I enjoyed reading and viewing your documentary! Nice to hear about a slice of life in your part of the world.

I guess I never thought about it. But, I had always assumed you lived in some large metropolis. Lovely countryside there.
