For some reason I'm having trouble getting my camera to focus sharply no matter what I do, just started doing this Saturday, all my images were soft.:-?

A Downy Woodpecker

The first one doesn't look soft to me. The others, maybe. But, I'm also on my laptop right now. Things always look differently on it.

Maybe you have pattyitis with all the problems I've been having. It can be catchy! Hope you don't suffer too much.:lol:

And these are Red Belly's. This is a female and the one you shot is a male. You can tell by the full cap on your's. Nice capture though.

Hmmmmmmmm..... who decides what name we're going to give a certain species? That's a red bellied woodpecker? From what I can see the belly looks cream colored. Wouldn't "red headed woodpecker" be a more apt name?

By the way GW, great captures, no matter what we may call the cute little critter.
