I've been to Lake Tahoe many times but always during the winter with a bunch of snow on the ground. This was the first time that I've been there where I could see the lake like this.

I did not do any color adjustment on these photos. I just had a UV filter on it. The sky is really that blue.

I have a little bit more photos of Lake Tahoe here

Tahoe Blue is in a class by itself! I visited there a few years ago and was awestruck by the beauty of the lake, not to mention it's color and clarity. Unfortunately at the time, I just had my Pentax Optio 555 (P&S) with which I tooka few preciousl images to bring home and show my wife what a beautiful place it is! Your image #1 is a spectacular composition; frame it and hang it on the wall!!

I would love to print it but I did something wrong when I took the picture. My K20D was set to 2mp because the week before I took some pictures for craigslist. I cropped it a little and as you can see the mountains are a little pixelated.

Beautiful pictures - I love the second one. Too bad about the size of the first one - always a good reason to check the settings each time you turn the camera on (I once took some white birds in bright sunlight using 1600 ISO because I didn't check).

Tahoe is one of my favorite spots, and you've done a nice job capturing it.

Bluetiful! Looks like you'll just have to go back, won't you.

In fact I will go back next month. My sister in law is going to have a small wedding in Lake Tahoe.

Wow,
I know this sounds silly but, when I first scrolled down and saw you pic, I got a chill all the way from the top of my head to my toes! not sure why but anyway it's a great picture! to bad about the low pixels.

I had some time to go check out the others you had posted at SmugMug. Wow! They are all lovely. Looking forward to seeing what you get when you go back next month.
