... we went for a drive and ended up here:

Fort Niagara.

The weather was probably close to 80F which is incredibly unseasonal here at this time of year. I don't usually break out the shorts until at least the end of May. Enjoying it while it lasts.

You can see more pictures here: Fort Niagara

Thanks for looking.

Great shots Mike!
the weather has been wonderful here too. Maybe to nice, if we don't start getting some rain pretty soon we are going to be in big trouble!

Hi Mike,

Very nice! #3's my favorite also.

I've got to get out and shoot some "regular stuff", but I really need to get used to my birding setup -- it takes a while. . .

Neat shots, love "visiting" places like this, interesting spots that someone else has photographed.

Thank you everyone for the comments. I was really trying to improve my composition with the pictures I took yesterday at the Fort. It's been a yearly pilgrimmage to go to Fort Niagara and other historic sites around here. I'm just always fascinated by them. Thank you all again for the kind words.

I came back and decided to play with the cropping of the third shot. Do you think it's better than the original I posted?

I, too, like the photos. I haven't been to Fort Niagara but have been to Fort Georgeon "our" side ofthe river. A lot of great history on both sides of the Niagara especiallyfrom the War of 1812.

Regards

Yes!
Looks like a totally different shot. Amazing how a little off the top and sides can make such a difference in perspective!
