Was up above the Wies river in Switzerland when this guy showed up. We were on the river bank and thus above him (her?) and got these shots. I wish the second was less fuzzy because its a nice shot of it's head.

That second one looks fine at this resolution - a beauty of a shot! All three are very nice.

Really nice shots. I love to watch GBH's in flight. Their long, slow wing movements are an expression of grace that's a lot of fun to capture. It's a real treat to get one from above like your photo in #2. Well done.

Great shots Glenn. I've tried to capture these in flight for over a year and have only one sub-par shot to show for my efforts.

Thanks Rodney and Jim. It was fairly easy because of the bright sunlight and the bird was used to people being around so didn't fly until I was only 10 meters away.
