The image shows tremendous dynamic range with a lot of detail! The technical merits ofthe gear is apparent and so is the artistic merits of the photographer in the stunning composition (image #1)! What lens did you use?

Thanks for the kind comments, Jelpee. I used the K100D with Tamron 70-300mm LD Di.

Actually my composition out of the camera is usually uninteresting at best. With a little copping, levels adjustment, and put a little "s" curve in the curves adjustment gives a bit more range. Also a tad of sharpening. You can see the PF/CA in the eye of the goose that this lens is guilty of.
