Default Waterfalls on the Plateau

Just back from a short trip to the Cumberland Plateau - land of waterfalls! With all the rain lately, water was high - making hiking a bit tricky in places, but with some great water levels in the falls. Here are a few, shots straigh from the camera, no PP yet:
First a little one called Big Branch Falls

Nearby is Big Laurel Falls, which flows into a cave. Here is the view from outside the cave:

Down the trail a few miles is Virgin Falls. In dry weather, it's just a trickle, but not this week:

Not too far away is Burgess Falls. The water was so high here that it was impossible to get a photo from up close - too much spray (but it sure felt good!)

And no visit to the Plateau is complete without a stop at Fall Creek Falls!

Mole,

Beautiful waterfall series............. Nicely composed and exposed!

The Cumberland Plateau appears to have an abundance of waterfalls and other photo opportunities. My Niece just moved to Nashville and we plan to visit her in the fall. I may have to take extra time and visit this area on the way.
