Default K2000 First DSLR Photos

Sorry, I accidentally posted this in the "Point and Shoot" forum originally.

Just received the K2000 which is my first DSLR. I am looking forward to growing with the camera.

Here is a link to my first pictures with the K2000

Appreciate your comments and feedback

Can I come join you up there? That's lovely looking scenery and it looks so much cooler than it's going to be here today.

Your pictures are very nice, the only thing that I noticed is that a couple of the horizon lines aren't quite straight (some are perfect, too, which probably makes me notice the ones that aren't right even more). I can't keep them straight either, almost always have to rotate my pictures just a bit.

Beautiful images of a beautiful location! The exposures are perfect...just note Mtgal's comments about the horizons . Being that this is your first DSLR, it just goes to show that if you have a good eye (as you do), any equipment will do! What part of Idaho is this?

Welcome to the Pentaxian community. You'll find a helpful group of people here, always glad to answers questions when they can. I echo the comments on your first group of shots....really nice start. You definitely have beautiful raw material for your shots. I really like the last one of the train.

Thanks for the nice comments. It is a very gorgeous area of Idaho along highway 55 between Boise and McCall. Most of the pictures were taken in the Donnelly and Cascade area.

Very nice scenery for sure. Would be a place I'd love to see. As much as we try it's pretty hard to always keep the horizon straight. That's what software is for.
