Default sig500super

just got finished with a test of the flash and the k20..
all seems to be fine with the chip for the DS.. tested it with the kit lens and the A35-105(what a fine lens).. seemed to work in macro also. i'll have to ck using the viv105/2.5 at 1:1 to know for sure..
i know the k20m is old news but..... looks like you'll have to put up with me and my new toy.. although this hardly rates as a toy..

Hi Roy,

Have you tried wireless remote with the popup as the trigger? It's possible that new firmware might be needed for that, but I have no idea. I can't remember if the 500 Super was set up for that -- or it might need another external P-TTL to fire it like some of the other 3rc party guns.

Looks like you aren't going to have much trouble adjusting to a new camera - these look pretty good. I've been having a great time using a flash wirelessly. It has some limitations (won't fire if you are trying to use it wirelessly for fill light in bright sunlight). While I occasionally wish I had the various pieces you need to operate wired off-camera, it isn't often enough for me to do something about it.

As far as I remember when I tested mine, it will fire the flash, but only with the inbuilt flash fireing as well.

You need a second Sigma flash to trigger properly
