Default Australian Shelducks on the Canning River

Interesting colour, light and reflections this morning. K20d and Helios M44 (M42 58mm F2 Russian lens). About F8 I think. ISO 100.

Thanks for commenting Kjell. We used to call these Mountain Ducks despite a general lack of mountains here in the west. For some reason many of our birds have been renamed. Cheers

It does seem that ornithologists are always renaming the birds - maybe so we'll have to keep buying new field guides?
