Thanks Scott,

up to now I work with an offcamera flash close to the front of the lens, and an extra lamp (130watt) on the other side of the subject, so I don't get any to pronounced shadows.

I'm now trying to figure out how to replace that lamp, with another type op continuous lighting. Something like a led ring light, to work together with the flash.

Next time I'm playing around I'll take a shot of the setup.

Ronny

Thank Jim

These where all with a kiron105mm (for 1:1), and adding an 8 diopter (dcr250 from raynox) (for 2:1) or adding an 8 and 4.8 diopter stacked (dcr150 + dcr250) (for 3.2:1)
The diopters magnification can be converted to macro by dividing by 4.
Also calculated the magnification by shooting a ruler.

Ronny

Ronny - once again an amazing set of photos - such wonderful detail and careful composition. Especially like the springtail "hitch-hiker!"

Ronny,

Another great set of macros. You are a master. I wouldn't hang the ant picture in my living room but it is a great shot.

Very good job Ronny! Though I'm not really much into macro, the amazing feast of details still keep me stroll up and down!

I agree with Kjell - your pictures are both technically and artistically pleasing. This weekend I took some pictures that were technically amazing to me, but artistically boring and incomprehensible. I definitely appreciate yours!
