@bock it almost looks green. Do they have that color.

@robar, I'm always curious about the size of the beast, was this at 1:1

Ronny, my ant is black at about 1/2 inch. I don't really like peonys because of the smell and all the ants. But since my wife wont let me cut it down I shoot it...with my camera! LOL I printed a version of this picture that was cropped less, maybe 50% more of the original, at 8X10 that looks pretty nice at arms length.

Very nice macro... And might as well join in on the ant on flower theme. Took this one yesterday at my parent's house. Ants on a peony bloom getting ready to open:
