Thanks GW, Harriet, and Beachboy2 - I appreciate the compliments. I see there is no EXIF attached. The picture was taken last year with the K100D and Tamron 70-300mm. Since there is interest in this picture, here is a link to the original thread which includes this photo for anyone who might be interested in seeing more (please post any comments on those photos there and not here so as not to hijack this thread):

Very nice photo, Glenn! So you've moved back to the US? Don't know if I should say congrats or so-sorry (as you know, I love Germany), hope its a positive move for you.

Time to get the voting started!
My vote this month goes to Patty for the "wave" at the San Diego/Padres game!

The waves of clouds are like surf breaking over the mountains in Mole's shot. It is a beautiful image, and it is my choice.

As usual some great and imaginitive shots. From Patty's Mexican wave to Lou's PS wave. Technically great shots like Glenn's and Penolta's. But my vote goes to GW for his "Boat tailed Grackle" making a splash and waves.
cheers

Hmmm... I'm going to need some help picking one over the other, they're all so good!
Perhaps it's too late to do this for this month but, what about devising a score card system where we could rate a photo from 1-10 on a number of criteria such as
1. theme
2. originality
3.IQ
4.color
5. composition
6. etc, etc.
then add up the total and submit a score for each image, then the entry with the highest total score wins? it could be done anonymously or what ever... just a thought.
