Default T'was a dark and stormy night

Well, not really dark yet, and it didn't storm till much later. Linda and I went for a little walk Saturday evening about seven PM. it was just starting to sprinkle a little when this bird flew by in the distance. I knew it would be a crap shoot to have anything worth keeping but shot anyway. Avery fine mist hit the lens and left thousands of tiny water spots on the image but, I thought it was just interesting enough to be worth some intensive PP, this is what I came up with.
hope you enjoy...

Later, on our way home the moon kept playing peek a boo with the clouds...

#1 is - wow - it gives the impression that it was shot from a plane or mountain, not the ground. Well done.

GW,

Nice shot of a brooding sky. The bird makes the picture something other than just a cloud shot. It gives a sense of scale to the clouds and also an impression of movement.

I also like the moonlight peeking around the clouds.

Very impressive, GW. Yes, the bird gives perspective to the size of the clouds. Wow!

Really like what you did with the clouds - it came out very nicely. Definitely dramatic!

Really Really like nr1, only have a bit of doubt about the bird. I would have found it very hard not to enlarge its silhouette in post processing.

Cheers

GW - Amazing rich capture of an amazingly dramatic sky! And the bird does indeed set it off well, and give it great perspective. Hope you didn't get too soaked!

Thank you so much for all the rave reviews!
you guys just made my day. Glad you all enjoyed them.

Mole, we really didn't get wet at all. I went back in the house and grabbed an umbrella but, we didn't need it, only sprinkled for a few minuets and quit.
