Overall I think the credit goes to K20D

This shows how much I have cropped out from a straight jpg 13M file











I am sure just on the cropping room alone, K20D gives me say 100mm more advantage over that of K100D.

I know nothing beats optical magnification. But going from 300mm to 400mm or 500mm is big big step indeed not to mention the cost factor (on top of vibration and weight of gear). Also I shoot straight jpg and can hardly master the art of shooting raw at all. No clue if I can do better with raw.
